Brush moves faster than most people expect. A fence line you could step over two summers ago is a wall of multiflora rose today. We grind it out with a skid steer and forestry mulcher, which means no burn piles, no hauling, and no torn-up ground — just cleared land you can walk the day we leave.

How a Clearing Job Actually Goes

We start by walking the ground with you. You point out what stays — the oaks, the walnut, the shade around the house — and what you want gone. Anything we are unsure about, we ask before it comes out, because a mature tree is not something you can put back.

Then the machine goes to work. A skid steer with a forestry mulcher grinds standing brush where it stands and leaves the material behind as a chip layer, so there are no burn piles to babysit, no stumps left to catch a mower, and nothing to haul off your place. Rate depends entirely on how thick it is: roughly one to four acres a day, with heavy multiflora rose and honeysuckle at the slow end of that.

The chip layer breaks down over a season or two and holds the soil in the meantime. If you plan to seed the cleared ground back to grass, tell us during the walkthrough — it changes how fine we grind and how we finish the surface.

Cost and the Best Time of Year

Brush clearing is quoted by the job rather than by the acre, because two acres of scattered saplings and two acres of solid thorn are not the same work. Estimates are free, and the walkthrough costs you nothing whether or not you hire us. You get a written price before any machine comes off the trailer. Late fall through winter is the best window for this work, and it is worth planning around. The ground is firm so the machines do not rut it, the leaves are down so we can actually see the property lines and what is growing, and the brush is dormant. Summer clearing is possible, but wet ground and full leaf cover make it slower and harder on the land.
